BIO
Sarah Blodgett is a commercial and Fine art photographer residing in Ithaca, New York. Born in New York City, her family moved to the Hudson Valley in the late 60’s. Since the purchase of her first camera at the age of ten, upstate NY has been her chief source of inspiration for her landscapes and still lives, and has also served as a backdrop for her portrait work.
Commercially, Sarah works with businesses to create images for advertising, promotional materials, and web sites. Interiors, product Illustration, landscape and garden photography, business portraits, modeling portfolios, and photography for artists are all services she offers. Sarah’s clients include K2 Development,
Van Delft Floral company, Live Oak Media, Sycamore Creek, Eli Zabar, Central Securities Corporation, Photographers Market, Noble Works, Posters International, and book covers for Farrar, Straus and Giroux, and Harper Collins. She has been the photographer in three books authored by mixed media artist Lynne Perrella. Her latest being “Art Making and Studio Spaces.”
Artistically, Sarah’s work has been exhibited at the Tivoli Artist Gallery in Tivoli NY, Deborah Davis Fine Art Gallery in Hudson, NY, Madelyn Jordan Fine Art in Scarsdale NY, the Barrett art center in Poughkeepsie, NY, her own gallery in Millerton, NY and many group shows in the Tri State region. Her work has been
published in Fine Gardening, Country Living Gardener, The Country, Catskill Mountain Region Guide, The Knot, Martha Stewart, The Sun Magazine, Berkshire Home & Style, Quest Magazine and 2wice magazine published by Pentagram. She has been featured as a “trendsetter” in Art Business News and is currently signed with stock agency, Images.com in NYC.
