BIO
Sean Kennedy discovered his love of glasswork early on as an elementary-school student while visiting the Corning Museum of Glass on a field trip nearly 25 years ago. There, he would eventually study under resident and visiting artists such as George Kennard, James Nowak, Brian Corr, Robert Scavuzzo and famed Italian Maestro Lino Tagliapietra. Sean went on to work with many of these
artists, as well as the renowned Alex Brand, and has helped to teach weekend and ten-week classes at the Corning studio.
Sean now works and experiments in his own self-built studio in Newfield, NY, just minutes outside the lovely college town of Ithaca. Sean seeks to constantly challenge himself, and welcomes the interaction of creating unique commissioned works of art for you, his appreciators and supporters. He hopes that you enjoy
his pieces as much as he lives to create them!
